hey y’all! i’m emelia, but friends call me emma. (you can call me either!)

i’m a creative based in the mountains of western north carolina. i’m freshly 21 and have been teaching myself photography since i was 15. i specialize in naturally lit portraits + outdoor weddings.

even though i’m surrounded by photographers who have been in the game for over a decade, i want to set myself apart from the highly competitive photography industry in WNC. sure, i want to capture “authentic, raw, and timeless moments” but i don’t want to describe my work with just those overdone qualities in the industry. let’s go deeper!

a large part of my passion for this work comes from the idea of CELEBRATION. throughout high school, i discovered that i was hungry to feel celebrated. but i learned that i wasn’t the only one who felt it too! so, i turned to the idea of making others feel celebrated in the big and small moments of their lives. (hello to the enneagram 2 in me! anyone else?) it turned out to be extremely fulfilling for me. this is the heart of this dream! to make your small moments feel big and your big moments feel limitless.
